Finishing Operative

£27,393 (inc shift allowance), Rotherham Sheffield Boundary, Permanent position, Bonus, Rotating AM & PM shifts, 22 days annual leave plus stats (30 in total) increasing to 35 days, excellent training opportunities, private health care, pension, free car parking, on site canteen facilities, uniform and premium paid overtime.

Due to securing a multiple new contracts our client that is based within a state of the art modern manufacturing facility on the Sheffield Rotherham boundary is looking to add a Finishing Operative to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

As a Finishing Operative you will be reporting into the Finishing Supervisor and will be responsible for working as part of a small close knit team in a prestige environment. Day to day duties will include:

• Working with small hand tools
• Removing any defects from castings
• Using measuring equipment
• De-burring
• Fettling / finishing
• Grinding

As a Finishing Operative will be required to:

• Be Manually dexterous.
• Possess a willingness to work overtime as and when required.
• No experience required full training will be given for the appropriate applicant.
• Positive and eager attitude towards work and learning new things
• Have basic level mathematics

This role would suit someone with experience of fettling, grinding, finishing, machine operating within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
