MIG Welder | Fabricator

£12.50ph increasing to £15.00ph, Desborough, Kettering, Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.45pm, Friday 7.30am - 11.30am Permanent after successful temporary period, Immediate Start.

Our client has been established for over 70 years providing quality products designed to solve waste handling problems with integrity and innovation, consistently delivering the safest, most reliable, long-lasting and competitive equipment on the market.

Duties:

• Fabricate from drawings.
• Operate welding and other machinery.
• Mark out cutting |bending lines.
• To inspect own work during manufacture and upon completion to ensure that it is defect-free before transfer to the next operation.
• Use MIG welding on thin gauge materials.
• Completing all relevant paperwork.
• Housekeeping of workshop area, ensuring all H&S regulations are always adhered to, including the use of compressed air and flammable materials; to maintain generally safe and clean working areas

The Requirements:

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Good team player with a positive, proactive attitude to workload and comfortable working to schedules
• Excellent attention to detail, good eyesight.
• Reliable and flexible approach to work, with a keen willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• MIG Welding qualification
• Experience of working in a similar role
• Able to manage own work and deliver on time.
• Reliable and hardworking
• Work in a tidy and clean manner.
