Position: Mechanical fitter / Installation Engineer
Salary: £10.10 per hour / £22,058 k basic, with overtime 33k +
Hours: 42 + overtime at 1.5, working week Monday to Friday
Driving licence required
Mechanical fitter / installation engineers role involves the installation and dismantling of temporary belt conveyor systems at various sites in the UK.
The Mechanical fitter / installation engineer’s role will work all over the UK but extensively in the London area driving 1000 miles a week on average, so a driving licence is essential.
A good understanding of mechanical fitting and mechanical machinery or equipment is ideal for the role but a general engineering background or experience could be suitable for this position. Any engineering or technically related qualifications would be relevant to the role.
This Mechanical fitter / installation engineer is a mobile position and involves physical work, lifting, moving parts/components, assembling and dismantling mainly on construction sites so requires a CSCS card however it may be possible for the right candidate to obtain this prior to working on site.
The work would always be undertaken in a pair travelling to the site together and the average working week would be around 55 hours with early starts to avoid traffic congestion so a degree of flexibility is required.
Full training on the equipment will be provided and time would be spent training in the workshop learning about the equipment and systems.
