Title: Pre-Production Manager
Location: South Gloucestershire
Hours: 07:30am-16:00pm Monday-Friday
Salary: Negotiable

Job brief
We are looking for an experienced full time Pre-Production Manager to manage the daily running of the Pre-Production Department.
Responsibilities
Include:
• To manage the all staff in the Pre-Production Department
• To maintain customer relations by being the lead contact in proposals
• To participate in pre and post bid meetings as required
• To identify customer requirements and interpret customer drawings & specifications for bid purposes and ensure technical feasibility
• To carry out site surveys when necessary
• To develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for customer enquiries and assigned projects within agreed timescales
• To coordinate with subcontractors to receive input on pricing of labour, materials and other costs
• To create and maintain comprehensive documentation
• To seek out new suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the vest value for money and competitive lead times
• To respond to technical queries from customers and suppliers
• To revise estimates and implement required changes
• To report project status
• To liaise with the Production Department on a daily basis
• To oversee the completion of departmental timesheets, holidays and absence forms
• To work with managers and supervisors to implement the company’s policies and business objectives
The company may amend these duties from time to time and may require you to undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business

Requirements
• Proven experience preferably in the fields of an engineering/service/aerospace sector
• Previous experience of managing people essential
• Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
• Ability to pay attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to motivate co-workers and colleagues
• Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of IFS an advantage
• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus
• Must have a full clean driving licence
