Sous Chef - Country Gastro Pub
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sous Chef to be part of an independently owned gastro pub in the Harrogate area. Based in a beautiful part of Harrogate, own transport is required due to the location of this delightful gastro country pub. The interior decor maintains a traditional yet rustic atmosphere with exposed stonework and real log fires, providing a cosy and welcoming dining area. The menu here focuses on fresh locally sourced produce with a seasonal menu alongside daily specials. As Sous Chef you will work in a small team, working closely with the Head Chef and covering their days off, so a good understanding of running a kitchen is required. You will work 45 hours per week over 5 days.
As Sous Chef we are looking for:
Previous experience in a similar environment
A real Passion for cooking high quality fresh food
Full knowledge and understanding of running a kitchen
A real ambition and enthusiasm to work with fresh food
A team player attitude, willing to go the extra mile
A good sense of humour
A well organised person with good time management
