We are working with a world renowned automotive manufacturing organisation, who are recruiting experienced Production Engineers / Manufacturing Engineers, based at their facility in Swindon. On offer is an excellent salary and benefits package.

MON TO FRI - 39 HRS PER WEEK
SWINDON, WILTSHIRE

The successful Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Mechanical Engineer will have a strong mechanical background and will be responsible for building automated production equipment - including robotic cells, jigs & fixtures and special purpose machinery (including conveyors). This will involve liaising with the design team and working from engineering drawings - you will be responsible for the complete project from assembly / build stage through to installation and commissioning.

Duties include:

·Working from drawings and parts lists to build and assemble jigs, fixtures and machinery
·Involvement with trials and developments of new machinery
·Carrying out stress / fatigue tests, as well as function testing (including hydraulics & pneumatics)
·Installation and commissioning equipment - which will involve liaising with customers
·Ordering parts and planning for assembly
·Project leadership as required


Skills and experience:

·ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
·Proven track record within a manufacturing / production environment
·Knowledge of jigs and fixtures
·Robotic system set up - including functional programming & interlocking
·Good knowledge of Welding techniques
·Equipment service install
·Project Management skills
·Excellent communication and IT skills

In addition you will be required to attend customer sites, so you must be flexible and willing to travel as when required.
