Estimator / Planning Engineer / Production Engineer required for a well established precision engineering company based in Gloucester, paying a salary of circa £28,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus excellent benefits.

Our client are a professional and well established precision machining company who supply to prestigious organisations within the aerospace, metrology and semi-conductor industries. Due to ongoing and successful growth they are looking for an experienced Estimator / Planning Engineer / Production Engineer to join their established team.

The Estimator & Planning Engineer / Production Engineer will be responsible for estimating and providing quotations to customers, as well as writing work instructions for the shop floor to ensure the smooth manufacture of new and existing parts.

Duties will include:

- Providing estimates on new enquiries
- Liaising with customers and following up on quotations
- Writing technical work Instructions and advising / allocating run times
- Advise Purchasing of required Tooling
- Liaising with Production and Customers to resolve issues
- Preparing reports

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Must have worked in a machine shop environment (preferably sub contract) with a strong understanding of all machining processes (including Milling, Turning, Grinding)
- Apprentice Trained or HND in relevant subject
- Must have previous experience in a similar role
- Able to manage own workload, set priorities and work unsupervised to deadlines
- Good knowledge of MRP systems
- Familiar with ISO9001 and AS9001 standards
